Simone scours second hand
shops, car-boot sales, people's button tins, old clothes
and antique shops to find interesting and beautiful
vintage buttons and makes either earrings, rings or
brooches. Along with the buttons, Simone also incorporates
either vintage or floral fabric (often Liberty print)
into her range.
One of the most intriguing pieces in the Simone collection
is the mixed button earrings where one vintage button
is matched with different button to make an unusual
and unique pair of earrings.
Lately, Simone has focussed on using more worn and
scratched buttons that suggest a sense of history.
"I love taking something old and discarded and
turning it into something beautiful and treasured." Simone.
